Special arrest campaign against warranties of Bihar Gramin Bank

Samvad Sahayak, Purnia East (Purnia). On Thursday, a special arrest operation was conducted by the Ranipatra branch of Bihar Gramin Bank to recover the outstanding loan. In this campaign, the police team of Mufassil police station, acting jointly with the bank officials, conducted intensive raids against the borrowers against whom arrest warrants had already been issued.
During the campaign, simultaneous raids were conducted in Diwanganj, Nagdehi and Ghorghat villages. Many warranty debtors were arrested in this operation led by DOCC incharge Kunal Kumar. However, after depositing the outstanding amount on the spot and giving a clear commitment to pay, some borrowers were released within stipulated time as per the legal process.
According to bank sources, in the last few months, a large number of arrest warrants and attachment-confiscation orders have been issued by the Court in the pending loan cases of the bank. For effective implementation of these orders, special campaigns are being run continuously in various police stations of the district.
Officials said that the main objective of such action is to strengthen credit discipline, speed up recovery of dues and ensure accountability in the banking system. He said that the bank provides many opportunities to the borrowers like first notice, compromise and installment rescheduling, but legal action is taken only in case of continuous neglect.
Regional Manager of the bank, Prabhat Ranjan has appealed to all the borrowers to pay their installments on time and to avoid any kind of legal action, contact the bank and adopt the path of mutual solution. The police administration also clarified that such campaigns will continue in the future to implement the warrants issued by the court.
