State Bureau, Patna. JDU is preparing to extend its membership campaign by 15 days. It is known that JDU's mega campaign to make one crore people members of the party has ended on January 14. Half of the receipts related to the membership campaign from the districts have started reaching the JDU state office.
JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said on Friday that JDU's membership campaign at all levels has been a big success. Due to the cold wave for about 10 days, many people were less active. For this reason, there is a demand that the membership campaign should be extended till January 31. Consent in this regard is being taken from the top level of the party. A decision on this will be taken in a day or two.
JDU's plan was to start the election work of the organization immediately after the membership campaign was over. But if the membership campaign continues till January 31, then organizational elections will not be possible in February.
Actually, the session of the legislature is starting from February 2. In such a situation, the MLAs will remain busy in the House. In such a situation, there will be difficulty in conducting elections for the organization. Therefore, now it is possible that JDU's organization elections may be held only after Holi.
According to information received from JDU sources, the target of making one crore people members of the party is being monitored regularly at the top level of the party. The party leadership is continuously taking feedback from its MLAs and district heads in this regard. The party is hopeful that the membership campaign will definitely reach close to the target.
