Kalyugi son shot his mother and burnt the house (symbolic picture)
Jagran correspondent, Asansol. In Asansol of West Bardhaman district of Bengal, late on Thursday night, a Kaliyugi son first shot dead his mother and then after setting the house on fire, committed suicide by shooting himself.
The deceased have been identified as 68-year-old Sandhya Mukhopadhyay and her 49-year-old son Raja Mukhopadhyay. Two cases of unnatural death have been registered regarding the incident.
People nearby told that the son had also beaten his father Dayamoy Mukhopadhyay a day earlier, due to which he was hurt and went to his daughter's house. Due to this his life was saved.
After getting information about the incident, he reached home on Friday morning. According to local people, on Thursday night they heard two gunshots from the house and then saw flames.
After receiving the information, Kulti police station reached the spot and controlled the fire with the help of fire brigade. After extinguishing the fire, the mother and son were found in a burnt condition inside the house. Late night the police took both of them to the hospital, where the doctor declared them dead.
