Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Doon Medical College Hospital on Wednesday night. He took stock of the emergency room, wards, medicine distribution centre, sanitation system and facilities being provided to the patients.
The Chief Minister directly interacted with the hospitalized patients and their relatives and took feedback regarding treatment, availability of medicines, testing facilities and other arrangements. While interacting with the patients, the Chief Minister said that the aim of the state government is to provide timely, accessible and quality health services to every citizen.
He gave clear instructions to the officials that any laxity in cleanliness, availability of medicines, presence of medical staff and testing services in the hospital will not be tolerated. He made it clear that special caution should be taken in the treatment of serious patients and necessary information should be provided to the attendants on time.
He also directed the officials to ensure that the arrangements in government hospitals become better and reliable at par with private hospitals. The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously expanding resources to further strengthen health services and it is a priority to ensure that the common man does not face any kind of inconvenience. On this occasion, senior doctors and officers of Doon Medical College Hospital were present.
