Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. After the flag hoisting in the Republic Day ceremony, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini mentioned the policies and achievements of the state and central government sequentially.
He said that the country's defense sector is moving rapidly towards self-reliance. Due to Make in India and Swadeshi campaign, India is moving from an importer to an exporter nation. The country is also registering new progress in areas like space security, semiconductor and green energy.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken historic steps for the welfare of workers and development of villages. Despite having only one percent of the country's area and 2.09 percent of the population, Haryana is contributing 3.7 percent to the national GDP.

Haryana ranks first among big states in per capita income and per capita GST collection. The state is among the top achievers in ease of doing business rankings. Haryana ranks second in the country and first in North India in providing logistics facilities to industries.
Haryana is also the state that wins the most medals in international sports competitions. The Chief Minister said that this is his second opportunity to hoist the flag on Republic Day and Gurugram is a confluence of Guru Dronacharya's education and modern technology.
System change and transparent governance
The Chief Minister said that governments changed for decades, but the system did not change. The common man used to make rounds of government offices. His government has changed this practice. Of the 217 resolutions taken in the assembly elections, 54 have been completed in a year and work on 163 is in progress.

He said that the policy of ‘government at the door of the people’ has been adopted. By making Hansi and Dadri districts, the administration was brought closer to the people. Transparent recruitment without any fees, online registry, transparent transfer policy, educated Panchayats and Antyodaya Abhiyan were described as the identity of the new Haryana.
Law and order and drug addiction
The Chief Minister said that the government has eliminated the role of middlemen and the benefits of the schemes are reaching the people directly. Describing law and order as the top priority, he mentioned Operation Clean and Sentinel.
2200 criminals were arrested under Operation Hotspot Domination. More than 6000 arrests were made in the Nasha Mukti Haryana campaign and assets worth Rs 12 crore were seized.
Employment and security for youth
The Chief Minister said that on October 17, 2024, 24,000 youth were given government jobs. 34,000 youth got employment in one year and a total of 1.80 lakh jobs have been given in 11 years. Employment security has been ensured through Haryana Skill Employment Corporation.
Skill training has been given to 1.14 lakh youth in the state. A law was made on 26 March 2025 to ban the ‘Dinky Route’, so that fraudulent transactions can be curbed.
Farmer interest and modern farming
The Chief Minister said that Haryana is the only state in the country where 24 crops are being procured at MSP. So far, Rs 1.64 lakh crore has been directly deposited into the accounts of 12 lakh farmers. Crop payment is made within 48 hours.
Compensation for crop loss is being given through the compensation portal. Rs 15,448 crore has been sent to farmers in the last 11 years. A law has been made to ban fake fertilizers, seeds and pesticides.
Drones, remote sensing and digital farming have been promoted. Farmers are adopting net house, poly house and hi-tech farming.
Social Justice and Welfare Schemes
The Chief Minister said that poor welfare has been brought to the ground. Rights have been given to the deprived sections of the Scheduled Castes. The income limit of creamy layer has been increased from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. Backward classes have been empowered by giving reservation in Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies.

Social security pension has been increased to Rs 3200 monthly. The scope of disability pension has been extended to 10 new categories. 27 lakh people have been treated under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Free dialysis is being given to kidney patients and monthly pension of Rs 3000 is being given to hemophilia-thalassemia patients.
Women empowerment and education
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working to strengthen the economic independence of women. Under Lado Lakshmi Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 2100 is being given to the sisters and daughters of the state.
He told that till now 2 lakh 34 thousand women have been made 'Lakhpati Didi'. Girls are being given free education till post graduation, so that they can become self-reliant and participate equally in the society.
Investment, Industry and Infrastructure
He said that more than 150 services are being provided online to investors and all approvals have been ensured in 12 days. Global City Project is being developed on 1000 acres in Gurugram.
Logistics hub in Narnaul, manufacturing cluster in Hisar and electronics park in Sohna are being developed. In the last 11 years, 12.92 lakh micro, small and medium industries have been established.
Under the Chief Minister Urban Ownership Scheme, ownership of shops and houses has been given to people who have been occupying them for more than 20 years. The limit for getting work done without tender by Gram Panchayats has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 21 lakh. The powers of urban local bodies have been decentralised.
Faridabad and Karnal are being developed as smart cities. Metropolitan Development Authorities have been formed in Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Hisar and Panchkula. 2147 illegal colonies have been regularized.
22 new national highways have been declared to connect every district of the state with the national highway. Direct flights have been started from Hisar Airport to Ayodhya, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Jaipur.
Target of medical college in every district
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister's vision is that India should become the medical hub of the world. In this direction, work is being done to open medical colleges in every district of Haryana. At present the number of medical colleges in the state has reached 17 and the construction work of three new colleges is going on.
At the end of his address, the Chief Minister said that the state government is moving forward with the resolve of developed Haryana and developed India and with the cooperation of the public, the state will be taken to new heights.
At the end of his address, the Chief Minister called for taking a pledge to make Haryana the best state of the country in every respect on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day. He said that the government and the public will move forward together to achieve the goal of developed Haryana.
