Jagran correspondent, Dharamshala. Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has received his first Grammy Award for his spoken word album Meditations: Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama has expressed happiness about the Grammy Award. He believes that with this Grammy Award, his message of love, peace and compassion will spread all over the world. The Tibetan Parliament in exile said that this is a historic moment and it is a matter of great happiness not only for Tibetans but for the entire humanity. He has congratulated the Dalai Lama for winning the Grammy Award. This is certainly a new platform where he has been able to convey his message of universal brotherhood and compassion. This album of the Dalai Lama was nominated in the Best Audio Book, Narration and Storytelling Recording category at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles on 1 February 2026. In this album, the Dalai Lama has accompanied Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Aman Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali. Have worked together with Bangash. The album is a confluence of spoken word and music to celebrate feelings of peace, kindness and hope.
