Sant Nirankari Mission's campaign towards water conservation
Jagran Correspondent, Durgapur: In the fourth phase of Clean Water, Clean Mind campaign under Project Amrit by Sant Nirankari Mission, a comprehensive cleanliness campaign was conducted in Mukta Pukur, Sukanta Palli located in Durgapur. This program was organized simultaneously at more than 1500 places across the country. The Mission had started ‘Project Amrit’ in the year 2023 in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. This initiative is inspired by the teachings of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, which gives the message of linking water conservation with service and lifestyle. The objective of the campaign is to create awareness in the society towards conservation of natural water sources like rivers, lakes, ponds and springs. Sant Nirankari Mission believes that water is not just a resource, but the basis of life and an invaluable gift of God. It is the moral duty of every person to protect it. Sadhguru Mata Ji's message is that the earth should be kept clean, beautiful and balanced for the coming generations, so that they can get pure water and a healthy environment. Many dignitaries including Durgapur Municipal Corporation Deputy Chairperson Dharmendra Yadav, Mission Head Sandhya Toofani Sahu, Seva Dal Director Bhim Prasad Kharwar were present in the program. In the end, refreshments were arranged near the pond. This campaign is being considered an important step towards making water conservation a lifestyle of the people.
