Jagran correspondent, Meerut. On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second phase of Namo Bharat train (Rapid rail) and Meerut Metro. On the first day, a large number of passengers arrived to see Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat and travel from one station to another by boarding it, but many were unaware of the rules. Due to which he got entangled in penalty.
Due to staying inside the station beyond the stipulated time for exiting, their QR codes were rejected when scanned. Got a message to contact customer service center. When the worried passengers approached, they were informed about the rules and taken out.
This is the rule of NCRTC
NCRTC Chief Public Relations Officer Puneet Vats said that if a passenger enters and exits the same station by scanning the QR code after taking the ticket, then he will have to complete this work within 20 minutes, otherwise a penalty of Rs 60 per hour will be imposed. If the passenger enters and exits from different stations, he will have to complete his journey within 180 minutes otherwise a penalty of Rs 60 per hour will be imposed.

If the passenger entered the station after taking the ticket. But if instead of getting down at the station for which the ticket has been taken, he reaches the next station, then he will have to pay the difference of fare i.e. that much extra fare. Only then will he be able to exit the station. However, no penalty will be imposed in this situation. The Chief Public Relations Officer said that the rules are the same for Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro stations.
