When the bodies of five members of the family of a Belding businessman, who committed suicide after killing his three children and his wife, reached village Nagla Bhojraj, the hearts of the onlookers were torn. Lamentations everywhere and tears in the eyes made the atmosphere even more sad.
The dead bodies were first taken to Satyaveer's house, from where five biers were lifted simultaneously. Everyone's funeral procession was taken out. The bodies of the three children were buried in the same pit in the field of the deceased Satyaveer. The husband and wife were cremated on the same pyre in the same pit.
When the bodies of the parents and three children reached the village at night after post-mortem, there was an outcry. At around 4 o'clock in the night, there was no house left from where people did not come to see the five dead bodies. Five biers were lifted from the house simultaneously. Everyone's eyes filled with tears after seeing such a heart-wrenching scene.
Ram passed through the streets of the village saying the name Satya. There was a long convoy of villagers behind the people. Nearly 70 year old father Nem Singh, who was included in this crowd, was also moving ahead, wiping tears from his eyes. Today, the shoulders on which he had to go were his son, daughter-in-law, granddaughters and grandson. Regional public representatives and leaders of various political parties also participated in the funeral procession. The bodies of the five were cremated at around 11 o'clock on the farm itself.
At 9.30 am on Sunday morning, the bodies of the five were taken to Satyaveer's farm, located a short distance from the village. Wheat crop is standing in this field. The family expressed the wish that the bodies of the three children be buried together. To bury the bodies of Prachi, Akanksha and Girish, a big pit was dug with JCB which was quite deep.
The bodies of the three children were kept in this pit and then buried with soil. The bodies of Satyaveer and his wife Sheela alias Ramshree were brought to the same level as the pit. Here the bodies of both were kept on the same pyre. Satyaveer's youngest brother Deshraj lit the funeral pyre. During this time a large number of people were present.
The cremation site is half a kilometer away from Satyaveer's house. A large number of women had also reached the funeral site to see the dead bodies, there was a queue of villagers on the road. Many people and leaders of Kasganj district including MP Devesh Shakya, Amanpur MLA Hariom Verma, former MLA Mamtesh Shakya, Brajesh Verma were present to attend the funeral.
