Dense fog in Delhi-NCR. Awakening
Digital Desk, New Delhi. There is dense fog in the districts of NCR including the capital Delhi on Monday. Dense fog was seen in many areas in Delhi amid severe cold. Due to excessive fog, visibility is very low, due to which traffic has been completely affected.
Due to dense fog, rail and air traffic has been affected today. Due to fog, many trains coming to Delhi are running much late than their scheduled time. At the same time, due to fog, vehicles were also seen crawling on the highway. Drivers have to drive with headlights and indicators on only.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a yellow alert for the national capital, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds and dense fog.
Slight improvement in Delhi's air
If we talk about the air quality of the capital Delhi, there has been a slight improvement in it. However, AQI still remains in the poor category. According to CPCB, the average AQI of Delhi at 7 am today was recorded near 240, which falls in the poor category.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), AQI 244 was recorded in seven Anand Vihar today morning. 227 have been recorded in Bawana, 243 in Dwarka, IGI Airport 134, 194 in ITO Delhi, 281 in Jahangirpuri, 243 in Mundka, 218 in Punjabi Bagh, 225 in Rohini, 265 in Wazirpur.
AQI 259 was recorded this morning in Ghaziabad, adjacent to Delhi, while 237 was recorded in Noida. On the other hand, AQI 239 has been recorded in Gurugram, Haryana.
