Bumper sale of digital gadgets and Chinese gifts in Hisar markets during Valentine's Day week.

Namha Yadav, Hisar. These days, due to Valentine's Day week in the city, there is a huge crowd at the gift shops in the markets. Young men and women are seen buying new gifts for each other at the main markets of the city, Rajguru Market, Patel Nagar Market, DC Colony Market and gift shops located on Delhi Road.

Chinese gifts are in vogue in most markets because 80 percent of the gifts being sold are imported from China. Photo frames with artificial flowers brought from China with colorful lights, digital gadgets including digital bracelets and light shades are in high demand. These gift items have appeared in the market for the first time. Therefore, a lot of demand is being seen for them.

Demand for artificial roses and bouquets is high. Gift shop operator in DC Colony, Amit Dhawan, said that most of the youth are 80 percent interested in buying Chinese gifts. In the last two days, young men and women have purchased more artificial flowers from China instead of natural roses. Among these, purchase of artificial roses has been seen more.

However, other colorful and beautiful vases are also in great demand because they do not get spoiled even after being used once and can be used as decoration in homes even further. Their prices also remain around that of real flowers. Therefore, boys and girls are taking special interest in buying these flowers and bouquets.

Online shopping is heavy on shopkeepers. Traders said that ever since online business started. Since then, there has been a 50 percent decline in sales in all types of operations. Customers have now become more dependent on online business.

These gifts are also being purchased. Gift shop operators said that along with the above mentioned items, the young men and women coming to the shops are also liking the lamp shades, lockets, digital bracelets with colorful lights. Apart from this, personalized gifts like bottles and frames along with printed T-shirts and cups and other items are also being purchased.

People are taking interest in buying diamond and gold jewelery along with gifts that are priced at normal prices. Apart from this, expensive mobiles of big companies are also being purchased. There is enthusiasm among the youth about Valentine's Day celebrated on 14th February.
