Digital Desk, Indore. A tragic incident took place during the celebration of Narmada Jayanti in the pilgrimage city of Omkareshwar in Khandwa district. The health of a devotee standing in the queue to have darshan of Lord Omkareshwar suddenly deteriorated. He was immediately sent to the hospital, but on the way his breathing stopped. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Bubun. He was a resident of Berhampur, Odisha.

Health deteriorated due to crowd and long queue

According to the information, Bubun had come to Omkareshwar with his friends on Saturday after visiting Ujjain Mahakal. His condition suddenly worsened due to standing in a long queue for darshan at the Jyotirlinga temple. Friends took him to the clinic in the temple complex, from where considering his critical condition, he was referred to the Civil Hospital.

Death due to increased blood pressure

BMO Dr. Verma said that Bubun was brought to the hospital in a dead state. Preparations were being made for the post-mortem of the body, but friends refused to get it done. He gave written consent and said that death was due to increased blood pressure and nervousness.

The body was sent to Odisha

On Sunday, friend Bubun's body was taken to Odisha via flight from Indore. Due to Narmada Prakatotsav, a crowd of thousands of devotees had gathered in the pilgrimage town, which exposed the challenge of crowd management and health facilities.
