Jagran correspondent, Dharamshala. After the death of a student of Government College, Dharamshala, now another serious case has come to light in the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dharamshala. The trainee student has accused the watchman posted at the institute of misbehaving. The trainee alleges that the watchman not only intimidated and threatened him but also threw chairs at him. The trainees have raised the demand to transfer the watchman to another place.

On Wednesday, the watchman at DIET Dharamshala tried to threaten and hit a trainee student with a chair. The trainee students have alleged that the watchman also abused them. Seeing the matter escalating, the Diet management reached the spot and intervened. After this, Diet Principal Rakesh Sharma informed Police Station Dharamshala and Deputy Director of Higher Education.

Police reached the spot and investigated. Trainee students from the education department have also raised the demand for action against the watchman. It is being told that even before this, an investigation is going on in the Education Department for misbehavior and similar activities against the said watchman in the diet itself.

Earlier, the said watchman had also beaten up a female fourth class employee at Babay's School, Dharamshala. Later he was transferred. Now when such a case comes to light again, the professors and trainees of DIET have raised the demand for appropriate action. When the trainees were studying in the institute on Wednesday, the watchman played songs loudly on his mobile phone in his room. The trainee student asked him to stop singing but he did not agree. After this, the trainee student sat in the library to study. After some time, the watchman arrived there too and stood at the door and started saying that the songs had now stopped. After this, the watchman threw chairs on the trainee student and also threatened the student sitting with him. Dharamshala Principal Rakesh Sharma said that as soon as the information was received, he reached the spot and stopped the concerned Class IV employee. Complaint has also been lodged in the education department and police station. This matter will be investigated.
