Vikas Gusain, Jagran, Dehradun. Digital governance is emerging as a strong base towards making governance more transparent, simple and people-oriented in Uttarakhand. The widespread use of digital technology by the state government in various departments is not only saving time and resources for the common citizens, but is also ensuring direct and easy access to government services. Now Artificial Intelligence is being added to it. This step will play an important role in making Uttarakhand a technologically capable and future ready state. All these changes will provide considerable relief to the public in the new year.
The state government has implemented the digital governance model with the aim of minimum government, maximum governance. In a hilly state like Uttarakhand, where the geographical conditions are challenging, online services are proving to be a boon for the common people. Now people do not have to visit offices for small tasks. Applications for birth certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, pension, scholarship, ration card, land related records and various schemes can be made online sitting at home. Systems like e-district, CM dashboard, online grievance redressal system, Bhulekh portal and digital payments in the state have made the functioning of the administration more transparent. The entire process from filing the complaint to its disposal can now be tracked online, which has also increased accountability. This is also helping in curbing corruption. Important role in health services and disaster management. The impact of digital technology is also clearly visible in important areas like health, education and disaster management. People in remote areas are getting health services through telemedicine and online registration. In the field of education, quality study material is being made available to students through e-learning platforms and digital content. In disaster management, quick relief and rescue work is becoming possible through real-time data, alert system and digital communication mediums. Now this system is being strengthened further. Focus on strengthening digital literacy: In the new year, the government's focus is also on strengthening digital literacy, so that every section of the society can take advantage of these services. Steps are being taken towards expanding internet connectivity in rural areas, so that the benefits of online services can be made available in hilly areas also. Besides, the role of Common Service Centers is being further strengthened. This will help in bridging the digital gap. Documents will be translated in major languages. Common people have the most difficulty in understanding government documents. In such a situation, many important tools are now being added to the Digital Uttarakhand Portal. Among these, AI Panini is the most important. With its help, documents, correspondence and reports used in various government departments can be translated into all the major languages of the country. This will help the common man to understand the documents. Summary of large documents and reports will be made. Another tool AI Summary is being added to the portal. This tool will help in extracting concise and concise summaries of large documents and reports. This will help the common man to understand government decisions and schemes. Documents will be converted into audio. AI will provide the facility to convert record documents into audio. This system will prove especially useful for visually impaired employees and officers.
