Jagran correspondent, Shahjahanpur. The life of many patients was in danger due to the commotion that lasted for about two hours in the Trauma Center of the Medical College. There, people ranging from heart disease to those seriously injured in the accident were being treated.

Amidst the chaos that followed, many patients were taken to other hospitals by their relatives, while the health workers somehow saved themselves.

After this uproar, questions are once again being raised regarding the security arrangements in the medical college. Despite the daily uproar and vandalism, proper security arrangements are not being made.

After the death of student Ankit Singh Chauhan, the entire incident which was created by his relatives was captured in the CCTV installed there. From breaking the glass of the gate, even the furniture lying inside was picked up and thrown away. Even the files of the patients were torn.

When the vandalism took place, the admitted patients themselves somehow came out of the trauma center. In which relatives took many to other hospitals. Heart disease patients and the injured had to face the most hardships. Serious patients could even die if they did not receive treatment for two hours. After the police explained, somehow treatment was started.

The student's father was made to sit in the checkpoint

During the uproar, the police beat up Ankit's father and took him away by holding his hands and legs. After this he was made to sit in the post. He was taken out after about an hour.

Ankit was the only son. Ankit was the only son of Vimlesh. They have a daughter Siddhi. Mother Soni Devi became unconscious several times after seeing her son's dead body. Only one word was coming out of his mouth again and again, Son, get up. Seeing this, many patients also shed tears.

There are less than 50 percent security guards

On an average, 1200 patients are reaching OPD every day in the medical college. More than 350 patients are admitted here all the time, but even then the safety standards are not being met.

Approval has been given from the Medical Education Department to deploy 102 security guards for security arrangements in the medical college, but only 44 guards are deployed here. Out of which about 12 live in the medical college located in Jignera. From this it can be estimated how much carelessness is being taken regarding security. Whereas many big incidents have happened here.
