The construction work of new power substation is in progress in Jahargo. After the completion of the building construction, the work of setup of lines and transformer of five mega volt ampere capacity will start.
This initiative will provide uninterrupted electricity to the extended area. There are such localities of entire Keshavrai, Jahargo, entire Madhav, entire Keshavrai ward falling in the extended area of the city, where even after coming to the urban area, they are getting electricity as per the village roster. There is no 24 hour roaster here.
Presently electricity is provided here only from rural feeder. Electricity is supplied here through Rajapur and Chilbila power sub-stations. The electricity system is not strong. There is a lot of discomfort in summer. Especially in the months of May and June. There are about three thousand consumers here, but now the days of these consumers are about to end. Soon there will be 24 hours electricity.
The work of a five MVA capacity power substation is in progress at Jhargo. It will be ready by the month of May. After this, the power system of the extended area will be further strengthened. They will get a lot of relief in the summer season. XEN Sadar Ramashray Chaurasia said that the work is in progress. After the construction of the building, its operation will be started after setting up the equipment.
