The link of obscene video-photo shared by Anpara of Sonbhadra and engineer Neeraj Yadav, living in Delhi, became the first link to send both of them to the gallows after the heinous crime of sexually exploiting 33 minors of suspended JE Ram Bhavan of Chitrakoot Irrigation Department and his wife Durgavati. After this, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team stayed in Banda and Chitrakoot for 45 days.
When she reached the Irrigation Department office as a complainant, the activities of both of them were monitored around their house for 16 days. After the arrest of both, within 85 days, a web was woven by coordinating with forensic experts, experts dealing with sexual exploitation of children, medical experts and child protection organizations. Digital evidence should be preserved for six years. As a result, the 10-year-long disgusting empire of JE and his wife, which started from 2010, ended in 2020 and six years later, in 2026, both of them were put to death.
According to a CBI official, the Special Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (OCSAE) Unit of CBI Delhi keeps an eye on those who share, buy and sell porn videos and photos through other sites including the darkweb (a secret part of the Internet, which can be opened only through a special browser. It hides the identity of the user) in the country and abroad.
Added links with help from Interpol
In August 2020, the unit got wind of the heinous act of JE through Sonbhadra's link to Neeraj. After this, CBI took help from Interpol and connected the links. During the arrest of Neeraj, many objectionable materials were found in Delhi and Anpara and JE's connection was strengthened. The CBI team first came in August and collected details. After this, on October 31, 2020, a case was originally filed in New Delhi against JE Rambhavan, resident of Naraini, Banda, and his wife Durgavati.
Neeraj out on bail
Separated Neeraj's file and started investigation into JE case. Neeraj's case is going on in Delhi and he is out on bail. After the arrest of JE and his wife in November, 2020, 34 obscene videos and 779 photo evidences, 25 victims out of 74 witnesses and their relatives were courageously taken to the court. On February 10, 2021, CBI filed the charge sheet in the court. Charges were framed on May 26, 2023.
WhatsApp group was created to talk to foreigners
Special Judge POCSO Act Pradeep Kumar Mishra sentenced both of them to death within three years on February 20, 2026, saying that this is appropriate for people with such dangerous intentions in the society. JE and his wife were driven away from where they lived. Had houses in both the districts but lived on rent. A WhatsApp group was also created to talk to foreigners.
