Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The Koyna hostel administration of Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi has fined seven students for alleged misuse of mess food.

According to the notice issued by the hostel, some students were transferring or selling their allotted food to other persons, which is a violation of section 3.6.4 of the hostel manual.

At the same time, it is clear in the rules that eating food in place of another student or signing on his behalf in the diet register is prohibited. The administration has warned that strict action can be taken in such cases, which also includes registering an FIR.

Found guilty in investigation

According to the information, a fine of Rs 500 has been imposed on the seven students found guilty in the investigation and they have been directed to deposit the amount in the hostel office within seven days.

The notice has instructed all residents to strictly follow the rules and has warned of disciplinary action if any violation is found in future.
