Jagran correspondent, Haldwani. Communist Party of India (Marxist Leninist) state secretary Indresh Maikhuri supported the demand for giving revenue village status to Bindukhatta. He said that the people of Bindukhatta have been continuously cheated. Their demand should be fulfilled and Bindukhatta should get the status of revenue village.

In a press conference organized in a hotel located in the city, Maikhuri said that the people of Bindukhatta have been demanding a revenue village for a long time. There is a BJP government in the state for almost a decade, but their demand was not taken seriously. He also asked to give the status of revenue village to Bagjala of Gaulapar, Puchhadi of Ramnagar, Bapugram of Rishikesh and others.

Apart from this, the CPI (ML) leader raised questions over keeping parents out of the process while recommending a CBI inquiry into the Ankita Bhandari murder case. He said that the basis of CBI investigation in the case should be the letter given by the parents to the Chief Minister and the CBI investigation should be conducted under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

Apart from this, he expressed concern over the increasing criminal incidents in the state and raised questions on the functioning of the state government. During this, CPI(ML) Nainital Secretary Dr. Kailash Pandey, State Committee member KK Bora, Akash Bharti were present.
