England Head Coach Brendon McCullum: England head coach Brendon McCullum wants to remain in his post despite the Ashes series defeat at the hands of Australia but he admitted that his future as a coach is no longer in his control after this disappointing performance. England lost the Ashes 3-0 within the first three Test matches, after which questions have started being raised on McCullum's role.
The former New Zealand captain's contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is till the 2027 ODI World Cup. When asked about his future as England coach, McCullum said,
I do not know. It's really out of my hands. I will just keep trying to play my role well. This question is for someone else, not for me. Describing the role as a very good job, McCullum said that despite the harsh criticism, he is excited to play his role well.

Let us tell you that the England cricket team is currently on Australia tour where it is playing a five-match Ashes series. The team has already lost the Ashes by losing three matches of this series. After this, questions started being raised on McCullum's role. However, the former Kiwi captain's agreement is till the 2027 ODI World Cup.

The first England Test coach was appointed to the England team. After this, he was also appointed coach for limited overs cricket at the beginning of this year.
