State Bureau, Patna. Arbitrary illegal occupation of government land is common in the state. In many cases, government land has been encroached on a large scale with the connivance of government servants. But now the government has become strict in such matters. Now illegal dealings in government land will be completely stopped in the state. If any officer is found involved in such a deal, action will be taken against him.
State Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit on Friday wrote a letter to all the Divisional Commissioners, all the Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Officers and Zonal Officers, directing them to take action against the land mafia and corrupt officials and immediately stop the buying and selling of government land.
He has written that many cases have come to light in which government land has been illegally registered and confiscated in favor of private individuals. Regional officials have transferred special government land to the land mafia or any individual, which is completely irregular and unethical.
It has also been observed that cases of government land allotted to landless families and individuals belonging to the eligible category such as Gair Majrua Khas, Gair Majrua Aam, Siling surplus land etc. have been registered in the name of privileged persons.
He wrote that cases of illegal transfer of government land were reviewed at the government level. After which it has been decided that such cases of illegal transfer of government land will be stopped with immediate effect. If any employee or officer is found involved in such a matter then strict action will be taken against him also.
