Jagran correspondent, Firozabad. A cruel father killed his 10-year-old only son by cutting him with a sickle on Monday afternoon. The body was hidden in a trunk. After this he ran away quickly. When the mother reached home from school in the afternoon, she screamed when she saw blood scattered in the room. After not seeing the son, the police was informed.
Police searched the room. When the lock of the box kept there was broken, the dead body of the child was found. More than a dozen blows were made on his body with a sickle. The murdered father is seen running away in the CCTV camera installed outside the house.
Mother returned from school and saw blood flowing in the room, police found the body.
The police searched for him, but could not find him. There was a fight going on between husband and wife for a long time. Rajesh Rajput of Jijauli is a gateman in a factory. He was married to Urmila 18 years ago. After a few years of marriage, fights started between the two. Urmila lived in her maternal home with daughter Mamta and son Mayank for many years. Five years ago she returned to Jijauli and started living in a rented room. After a few days Rajesh also came along. Got my house built in the village three years ago.
more than 15 blows on the body
Urmila started teaching in a private school. 15-year-old daughter Mamta was a 12th class student and Mayank was a fifth class student. All three went to school on Monday morning. Mayank returned from school at 1.30 in the afternoon and slept on the cot lying on the terrace. After school, daughter Mamta left for coaching at 2 pm, when Rajesh and son Mayank were at home. When Urmila reached home from school at 3.30 in the afternoon, the doors of the house were open.
Accused seen running in CCTV recording
There was blood scattered inside from the verandah to the room. On information from neighbours, SO Chaman Sharma arrived with the force. When the lock of the trunk was broken, Mayank's body was found lying soaked in blood. The head, neck and body were cut after several blows with a sickle.
SSP Saurabh Dixit said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the father committed the murder. He is seen running in the CCTV camera. At present the reason for the murder is not clear.
