When and where will Jai be released?
Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. OTT platforms are now taking steps forward for regional films as well. The much talked about Kannada-Tulu film 'Jai' is going to have its digital premiere on the OTT platform ZEE5. This release marks a big milestone for the platform, as 'Jai' will become the first Tulu film to premiere on ZEE5, with its Kannada version also available.
A story set in coastal Karnataka
He has also played the lead role in the film directed by Rupesh Shetty. It blends drama, action, comedy and socio-political commentary in a story that is firmly rooted in the cultural fabric of coastal Karnataka. The film tells the story of Sachya, a youth from Simhabettu village, whose growing awareness of community issues propels him from local political involvement into a greater fight for the well-being of his people.

The cast and Sunil Shetty's Tulu debut
'Jai' stars a strong ensemble cast including Rupesh Shetty, Raj Deepak Shetty, Adhvi Shetty, Arvind Bolar, Devdas Kapikad, Naveen P Padil, Bhojraj Wamanjoor and many other popular regional actors. Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty is also debuting in Tulu cinema with this film.
When and where will the film be released
During its theatrical release, 'Jai' recorded hundreds of screenings in both Kannada and Tulu languages, achieving tremendous audience engagement. Jai will stream on Zee5 in both Kannada and Tulu languages from February 6.
This film is Sunil Shetty's Tulu debut
Talking about his decision to be a part of the film, Suniel Shetty said, 'When I said yes to being a part of Jai, it was not about the scale or screen time. It was about the honesty of the film. There is a rawness and cultural pride in Tulu cinema that is rarely seen at the national level. I am happy that Jai will now reach more viewers through ZEE5.
