State Bureau, Panchkula. Anganwadi workers with 10 years of service experience and completing the eligibility will be promoted to the post of Supervisor. 50 percent of supervisor posts will be filled by Anganwadi workers and the remaining 50% will be filled by direct recruitment.
This decision was taken in the review meeting of the Women and Child Development Department on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. In the last budget, 66 announcements related to the department were made. Of these, 59 announcements have been implemented.
Apart from this, work on three announcements is in progress. The Chief Minister, who was holding a meeting with Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Chaudhary, said that out of 80 thousand malnourished children identified last year, 54 thousand children have been freed from malnutrition.
Anganwadi is being upgraded
Only 26 thousand children are left in the state. They too will soon be freed from malnutrition. Provision is being made to give boiled black gram, churma and kinnow to such children. As per the announcement of converting 2000 Anganwadi centers into capable Anganwadi centres, work is going on at a fast pace to upgrade 2807 Anganwadi centres.
Items worth Rs 20 crore will be purchased for Anganwadis. Similarly, 2000 Anganwadi centers are being upgraded into play way schools at a cost of Rs 81 crore so that children can get better facilities.
