Jagran correspondent, Khagaria. A young man who had come to his in-laws' house in Janglimandal Tola of Mathar under Mufassil police station area of Khagaria was shot and brutally murdered.
The deceased, 22-year-old Tonis Kumar, was a resident of Tetri Dandari (Dandari police station) in Begusarai district. Here, on the instructions of SP Rakesh Kumar, ASP cum Sadar SDPO Mukul Kumar Ranjan, SHO of Mufassil police station Sangeeta Kumari reached the spot with their team and investigated the matter and secured the spot.
The forensic team has been informed. SP said that a case has been registered against five under sections like murder, Arms Act and others. Four of the five named accused have been arrested.
The police station in-charge of Mufassil police station said that four people including the deceased's wife, mother-in-law and father-in-law have been arrested. Strict monitoring is being done to maintain better law and order. Here, deceased's uncle Niranjan Yadav told that Tonis was married on December 9, 2025. Tonis came to his in-laws' house on 10 January in the new year.
Seeing his wife's activity there, he started getting suspicious. Told that Tonis's wife was in the 'affair' of a relative. There was a dispute between the husband and wife due to opposition to this. According to the relatives of the deceased, on January 15, the deceased's wife called and informed that Tonis had gone alone towards the fields for a walk and was shot by criminals. Due to which Tonis died.
The uncle of the deceased also told that Tonys had gone to his in-laws' house for the first time after marriage and was at his in-laws' house for five days. Tonis was killed by a shot in the forehead. Here, the police is conducting raids to arrest another accused in the incident.
There is a lot of discussion in the area after the brutal murder of son-in-law by shooting him in his in-laws house. Police is investigating at all points.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Mofussil police station under the leadership of SDPO Forest Mukul Kumar Ranjan inspected the incident site along with the police team. The forensic team has been informed while securing the incident site. Five have been named accused in the case. In which four have been arrested.
