Digital Desk, New Delhi. India has set a Guinness World Record for displaying the largest number of posters. A new world record in the category of displaying the maximum number of posters was created in Pune.
Guinness World Records confirmed this on Saturday. Guinness World Records adjudicator Swapnil Dangrikar said, India has left America behind and made the record.
What did the organizers tell?
Organizers said that this record was created by displaying 1,678 posters depicting tribal words during the book festival organized at Ferguson College. With this, the previous record of 1,365 posters made in America in February 2025 was broken.
The certificate mentions that the world record for the highest number of poster displays was created by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University and RISE Foundation at Pune Book Festival on December 12.
'Tribute to Lord Birsa Munda'
Organizers said the record is a tribute to tribal leader and freedom fighter Lord Birsa Munda, whose life and works are being highlighted through a special pavilion at the festival.
Rajesh Pandey, convenor of the festival, said, a dedicated Birsa Munda Gallery has been set up to remember the contribution of Birsa Munda to the tribal society and India's freedom movement. Under this initiative, a Guinness World Record was created by displaying posters containing tribal terminology.
