India's speed in road construction fast, NHAI made two Guinness World Records in 24 hours (indicative picture)
PTI, Amravati. During the construction of Bengaluru-Cuddapah-Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G) in Andhra Pradesh, a historic record of road construction was created in just 24 hours.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) created two Guinness World Records by laying 28.95 lane-kilometre road and 10,675 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete within 24 hours.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave information about this achievement on the internet media.
He said that this success is the result of the visionary thinking of the Central Government and the leadership of Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. The entire work was carried out by Rajpath Infracon Private Limited as per the strict quality standards of NHAI.
Appreciating the hard work of the engineers, laborers and field teams, the Chief Minister said that efforts are being made to create two more Guinness World Records by January 11 on other packages of the same corridor in Andhra Pradesh.
