Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Muzaffarpur SSP Action: Inspector Kanhaiya Kumar posted at Maniyari police station in Muzaffarpur district has been suspended by SSP Kantesh Mishra. This action has been taken on the allegation of negligence and laxity in the work in investigating the cases.

The SSP said that the concerned officers were not discharging their responsibilities properly, due to which the investigation of many cases was being affected. The complaints of the complainants were not being processed on time and the process of providing justice to the victims was also being hindered.

After being found guilty after an internal review, the Inspector was suspended with immediate effect. During the period of suspension they will be provided only normal living allowance.

The SSP made it clear that negligence will not be tolerated in the police department and strict action will be taken in case of laxity in work in future also.

Sword of action against Mithanpura police station

After the shortcomings found in the surprise inspection of Mithanpura police station, the sword of action has hung on the police station incharge. Despite the guidelines issued after the incident in Sadar police station area, SSP Kantesh Mishra has sought clarification from the police station head against the suspension when no traveler was found in the area.

The SSP has clarified that if the reply is not found satisfactory then strict action will be taken. He told that a surprise inspection of Mithanpura police station was conducted late night on 10th February. During inspection, it was found that despite the instructions issued in view of security, the police station head was not found actively patrolling the area.

If the functioning was found to be unsatisfactory, a reply has been issued to the police station incharge. During the inspection, the SSP inspected all the registers of the police station and directed to keep them updated.

Besides, instructions were also given for speedy execution of pending cases, quick arrest of wanted accused, regular updating of CCTNS works, making night patrolling effective, strict action against illegal liquor and mining and strengthening vehicle checking.

Apart from this, clear instructions have also been given for quick, fair and transparent solution to the problems of the common people while ensuring decent, sensitive and cooperative behavior with them.
