Shakti Singh, Ranchi. To give new heights to tourism in Jharkhand, the state government has intensified work on the ambitious plan of construction of glass bridge in Netarhat and Patratu valley. The proposal has been sent to IIT Kanpur to test the technical quality, durability and load bearing capacity of the glass. The final material will be selected only after testing by the expert institute, so that the safety of tourists is not compromised in any way and the bridge remains safe for a long time.

Glass bridges will be in three different designs

All three glass bridges to be built under the project will be made in different designs. According to the proposal, one bridge will be built in round shape design, the other bridge will be long and straight.

Whereas the third bridge will be built in the form of two palms. This unique and attractive design will provide a new experience of adventure to the tourists and will firmly place Jharkhand on the adventure tourism map.

Estimated cost of Rs 22 crore

The three glass bridge projects are estimated to cost approximately Rs 22 crore. DPR related to the project has been sent to the Road Construction Department. The plan will be approved as soon as technical permission is received from the department. The government intends to start the construction work in this financial year as soon as the approval is received.

Construction will be done on Rajgir model

The glass bridge will be constructed on the lines of the glass bridge built in Rajgir, Bihar. The Glass Bridge built in Rajgir has received a very good response from the tourists. Keeping the same experience in mind, a similar safe and attractive model is being adopted in Jharkhand also. This will give tourists an exciting sky walk experience and increase the tourism revenue of the state.

Expansion of tourism facilities in Netarhat

Netarhat, known as the 'Queen of Chhotanagpur' is already famous for its natural beauty, sunrise and sunset. Here Koel View Point is being developed as Sunrise Point, where a park has been constructed and Sunrise Watch Tower has also been constructed. After the construction of the Glass Bridge, there is a possibility of significant increase in the number of tourists in Netarhat.

Patratu valley will get a new identity

Patratu Valley is already known for its winding roads, lake and hills. With the construction of a glass bridge here, tourists will be able to see the exciting view of the valley and natural scenery from above the glass. With this, Patratu Valley can become a major center of adventure and nature tourism. Tourists see it as a selfie point.

Tourism will increase local employment

The completion of the Glass Bridge projects will not only boost tourism but will also create new employment opportunities at the local level. People associated with hotels, guides, transport and other tourism services are expected to get direct benefits from this. The government believes that this project will play an important role in giving Jharkhand a strong place on the national tourism map.
