In the year 2025, a devotee from Sant Kabir Nagar who had come to the Maha Kumbh Mela died in an accident. His family members have to make rounds of the authorities to get the death certificate made. This is the situation when the post mortem report issued from the Chief Medical Officer's office has been received.
Death certificate not received even after a year
A full year has passed but due to the death certificate not being given, the family of the deceased is facing many problems. The family member of the deceased, who reached the Municipal Corporation on Tuesday, gave the application to the Municipal Commissioner. Expressed hope that the death certificate will be received soon.
The relative who came from Sant Kabir Nagar narrated his grief.
Mathura Prasad, who came from Sant Kabir Nagar, told that his brother-in-law Nand Kumar, resident of Matbazar, police station area Sahjanwa of Gorakhpur, had died on the night of 28/29 January 2025. Told that Nand Kumar was injured in the stampede on Mauni Amavasya, he was taken to a hospital near Nagavasuki, where doctors declared him dead.
Officers are constantly in trouble
The police had conducted post-mortem of the dead body. The post mortem took place on 29 January. Told that since then he has been continuously making rounds of the authorities but could not get the death certificate. Municipal Commissioner Sai Teja has taken the application from the complainant and assured that some positive steps will be taken soon.
