But even in engineering, there is maximum dilemma among the students regarding BE and B.Tech courses. However, engineering studies are imparted in both these courses. But the syllabus of both the courses is completely different from each other. In BE course, more emphasis is given on theory and in B.Tech course, more emphasis is given on practical.

What are BE and B.Tech?

Both BE and B.Tech courses are of four years duration and both the courses have eight semesters. The full form of BE is Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) and the full form of B.Tech is Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). Let us tell you, both these courses have been designed for engineering courses.

The duration of Bachelor of Engineering i.e. BE course has been fixed for a total of four years. This course has been designed for those students who are more interested in theory than practical. Along with this, more knowledge in BE course is better. Also, in BE course, students study from traditional engineering principles. Since it is a knowledge-oriented course, its syllabus is not updated from time to time.

A look at B.Tech also

Unlike BE course, BTech course is skill based. B.Tech course is designed for students who are more interested in practical knowledge. B.Tech course is skill based. Therefore this course is updated frequently according to technology and industry. Also, this course has been designed on industrial-oriented basis, after completing which students can easily apply for internship in any company.

Entrance test required for admission to the course

For admission to BE and B.Tech courses, students have to pass the JEE Main examination. JEE Main examination is conducted twice a year. Along with this, the candidates who are declared successful in the JEE Main examination. Those candidates can also appear in JEE Advanced examination. Let us tell you, to appear in JEE Main examination, it is mandatory for students to get a rank within 2.5 lakhs in JEE Main. Along with this, the candidates who are declared successful in JEE Advanced examination can take admission in prestigious institutes like IIT, IISc.
