Samvad Sutra, Sitapur. The prisoner of Pasco Court, who came to appear in the court, has escaped from police custody. After the incident, the police is busy searching for the prisoner through CC cameras. This is not a new case of a prisoner escaping from the court. Even before this he had escaped from police custody several times. This is when police personnel remain ready for security at the court gate. Even after this, incidents of running away from the court are coming to light.

Rohit Maruti, a resident of the city's fish market, was caught on January 21, 2026 on charges of abducting a minor. After which action was taken to send him to jail. He had come to appear from the district jail on Tuesday.

It is being told that many old cases of theft are already registered against Rohit Maruti. During his appearance in the POCSO court, the accused somehow escaped from the police's sight. As soon as the information about the prisoner's absconding was received, there was chaos in the court.

On receiving information about the incident, area officer city Vinayak Bhosale along with Kotwal Anoop Shukla reached the spot and inspected the court premises. The circumstances of the prisoner's escape are being investigated, while the policemen on duty are also being interrogated. The footage of CC cameras installed in the city is being scrutinized to search for the absconding prisoner.

The police have set up a blockade on the borders of the district and are raiding suspicious places. Police claim that the accused will be arrested soon. This incident has once again raised serious questions on the court and prisoner security system.
