Constable Abhay Pandey dies in road accident

Digital Desk, New Delhi. A police constable posted at Bishrampur police station, who had come for fitness training in Tenth Battalion Silphili, died tragically in a road accident.

The bike driver constable was hit hard by an unknown vehicle on the highway, due to which he was seriously injured and died on the spot. The unknown driver absconded after the incident. The police is investigating the case.

Constable Abhay Pandey dies in road accident

According to the information, police constable Abhay Pandey alias Dadu Pandit, resident of village Pachira, posted at Bishrampur police station, father Tarachand Pandey, age 39 years, had appeared at Tenth Battalion Silphili on Sunday for one month fitness training. His training had started from Monday.

On Monday night at around eight o'clock, after taking permission from the battalion, he went out on a bike towards Bishrampur to collect goods. Meanwhile, near the Tenth Battalion Petrol Pump on the Bishrampur-Ambikapur main road, an unknown driver, driving fast and carelessly, hit his bike hard.

Hit by unknown vehicle while returning from fitness training

The collision was so severe that the constable suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot. After the accident, the accused driver fled along with the vehicle.

On receiving information, Jaynagar police reached the spot and the blood-soaked body was brought to Bishrampur Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead.

As soon as the news of the incident was received, a large number of Bishrampur and Jaynagar police officers and family members of the deceased gathered in the hospital premises.

Serious head injury due to not wearing helmet

Here, as soon as information about the incident was received, a wave of mourning ran in the residence located in village Pachira. The deceased constable was the younger brother of Dharma Jagran convener Manoj Pandey and the elder brother of journalist Praveen Pandey. After post-mortem on Tuesday, his last rites were performed in a sad atmosphere at Pachira Muktidham.

It is being told that constable Abhay Pandey usually always rides a bike wearing a helmet, but at the time of the incident he was not wearing a helmet. People believe that if he had worn a helmet at that time, his life could probably have been saved.
