Deepak Sood, Fatehgarh Sahib. The political stir in Punjab has intensified after the statement given by Dera Beas chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon regarding his meeting with Bikram Majithia in jail. After this statement came to light, the politics of the state heated up and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also responded to this issue by tweeting. Now Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has once again clarified the situation regarding this entire matter.
While talking to the media during a function organized in Mandi Gobindgarh, Harpal Singh Cheema said that there is no controversy of any kind in this matter. Anyone can go to meet due to relatives. There is no dispute in this. Cheema also said that there are serious allegations against Majithia of amassing disproportionate assets and this matter is completely under consideration in the court.
The decision of this case will be based on law and evidence. Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has presented strong evidence before the court in this case. The law is taking its course and whatever decision comes, it will be punishment as per the law.
In a function organized in Mandi Gobindgarh, former Municipal Council President Sukhwinder Singh Bhambri, associated with Shiromani Akali Dal, joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with his colleagues. Apart from this, many leaders leaving Bahujan Samaj Party and BJP also joined Aam Aadmi Party. The Finance Minister welcomed all the newly inducted leaders.
