In this, appointment to 26 thousand 859 posts is under process, while appointment to 25 thousand 134 posts is proposed in the coming financial year 2026-27. Along with this, Bihar State Industrial Security Battalion (SISF) will be established for Patna Metro, industrial areas and proposed new airports. This has been the main focus in the budget of the Home Department.
According to the information, the process of transfer of land for the establishment of SISF-3 in Nawada is under process. At the same time, the process of transfer of land in Motihari for the establishment of SISF-4 is under process.
Apart from this, land is being transferred in Mokama for Bihar Special Armed Police (BSP-16), Bettiah Raj land for BSP-18, Chhapra for BSP-14 and Bhagalpur for BSP-15. The process of transfer of land for the proposed constable training school in Bettiah and police center in Saharsa is also under process.

The budget size of the Home Department has increased by Rs 2300 crore this year. In the financial year 2025-26, the budget size of the Home Department was Rs 17,831.21 crore, which has increased to Rs 20,132.53 crore this time. Along with the establishment item, the planning item has also increased by Rs 479 crore. There are plans to build many new police buildings with this amount.
Apart from this, a huge amount will also be spent on police modernization. Approval has been given for the construction of Dial-112 building, SSP residence, Cyber Crime Unit and Special Branch building and IPS mess building in Patna. The office building of Bihar Human Rights Commission will be built in Gardanibagh at a cost of about Rs 23 crore.
At the same time, approval has been given for the construction of STF headquarters building in Lodipur, which will cost around Rs 63 crore. Apart from this, construction of nine additional regional forensic science laboratories is also being done in the state, of which construction of five has been completed.
Approval has also been given for the establishment of off campus of National Forensic Science University. Till now, more than 52 lakh people have been provided help through Dial-112.
