On Danapani Road, a speeding car hit a young man riding a bike, due to which he died on the spot. After the accident, the car driver fled along with the vehicle. The young man was returning from work

According to the police, 25-year-old Shubhankar Gaur was a resident of BDA Colony, Avadhpuri and was a carpenter by profession. On Sunday night he was returning home after finishing work from the site. Meanwhile, a speeding car hit his bike on Danapani Road. The collision was so severe that the young man got seriously injured and fell on the road.

Shubhankar was wearing a helmet, but serious internal injuries to his stomach and ribs proved fatal. He died on the spot.

According to police station in-charge Santosh Markam, eyewitnesses have confirmed the collision with the car. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby so that the absconding car driver can be identified.

The wedding took place only a month ago

The accident has left the family in deep shock. Shubhankar got married just a month ago. There is mourning in the house due to his untimely death. The newly married wife is crying badly. The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem on Monday.

Police have registered the case and intensified action against the absconding driver.
