Jagran correspondent, Agra. Mohammad Zaid and Arshad, accused in the fake arms license case, have received a shock from the court. The District Judge has ordered to reject the anticipatory bail applications of both the accused. Now the sword of arrest is hanging over both the accused.
Following the investigation report of STF Inspector Yatindra Sharma, a case was registered at Nai Ki Mandi police station on May 24, 2025 under sections of fraud, preparing fake documents and Arms Act.
In this, national shooter Mohammad Arshad, carpet businessman Mohammad Zaid, property dealer Bhupendra Saraswat, Rajesh Baghel, Shiv Kumar Saraswat, TV channel journalist Shobhit Chaturvedi and arms clerk Sanjay Kapoor were named.
This matter is being investigated by STF. Accused Arshad Khan and Mohammad Zaid had submitted an application for anticipatory bail in the court of the District Judge.
Arshad Khan mentioned his date of birth as 15 January 1985 in the application form and said that he did not earn any profit in the shooting competition and the said date was mentioned by mistake. He is a national champion in shooting.
He is entitled to hold seven licenses. Accused Mohammad Zaid said that the arms license has been issued to him by the District Magistrate, Agra. No fake or forged forms have been prepared.
The District Judge ordered to reject the anticipatory bail application of the accused on the argument of District Government Advocate Radha Krishna Gupta.
