Samvad Sutra, Munger. The work on Munger-Mokama four lane road project has gained momentum. The construction of this awaited four-lane road will not only ease the traffic but is also expected to give a new impetus to the economic development of Munger district.

Under the project, the process of land acquisition has been started in many villages of Dharhara and Jamalpur blocks of the district. For this, land measurement work is going on war footing in the concerned villages. On Wednesday, District Magistrate Munger Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar conducted an on-site inspection of the project site.

He interacted with the teams engaged in measurement work and took information about the progress so far. The DM said that the four-lane project is included in the priority schemes of the state government, hence the land acquisition process is being completed with transparency and speed. During the inspection, he also talked to local tenants at many places and listened to their problems.

The DM appealed to the ryots to cooperate in the work of the administration. He said that the district administration is with the farmers and land owners. Those whose land is coming under the four lane project, should be present during the measurement and provide all the necessary documents related to their land to the measurement officers. This will enable the compensation to be determined accurately and the amount to be provided to them on time.

During the inspection, Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Kumar Abhishek, District Land Acquisition Officer Pankaj Kumar Gupta and other departmental officers were also present.

Report will be sent after measurement

DM said that the work of land measurement will be completed soon. After this the report will be sent to the department and the next phase of action will begin. It was also made clear that no arbitrariness or irregularity will be allowed in land acquisition. The decision will be taken based on accurate measurements on each farm, account and any type of residue.

The administration says that all the tenants affected by the four-lane project will be given compensation as per the rules by the government.

Local people say that if this road is completed on time, the travel time between Munger and Mokama will be significantly reduced. It will have a positive impact on transportation, business and agriculture sectors. Due to administrative activism, the hope of early completion of this project has increased.
