State Bureau, Patna. The quadruple murder in Siraspur area of Delhi has shocked Patna also. The accused Munchun Kevat is said to be originally a resident of Patna district. He had gone to Delhi in search of livelihood and worked as a vegetable seller in Azadpur Mandi. The bodies of his wife and three daughters were found in his rented house on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Anita. The ages of the three girls were 7, 5 and 3 years.
Murder by slitting throat, husband absconding
The incident came to light in a house located in Chandan Park, Siraspur. Inside the room, all four were found with their throats cut with a sharp weapon. Neighbors informed the police after seeing the suspicious situation.
Police and FSL team reached the spot and started investigation. Preliminary investigation is suspecting domestic dispute. Munchun Kevat is absconding since the incident and is the main suspect.
Condolence among relatives in Patna
As soon as the family members in Patna got information about the incident, there was mourning in the house. Relatives expressed deep sorrow and disbelief at the incident. Local people say that Munchun had gone to Delhi only a few years ago.
To improve his financial condition, he started working in the market. Lived in a rented house in Delhi with his family. Now there is silence in the entire village and relatives.
Delhi Police investigation, attempt to arrest
Delhi Police has registered a case under section 103(1) of the Indian Judicial Code. Several teams have been formed to search for the accused. Surveillance has been increased at bus stands and railway stations.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Police say that the accused will be caught soon. This painful murder case related to Patna has created a sensation in both the states.
