Under the Central Government's Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is given to eligible farmers every year. When can the 22nd installment come?
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has not yet announced the official date of the 22nd installment, but various media reports are claiming that an installment of Rs 2,000 can be released in late February or early March 2026. It is noteworthy that earlier the 21st installment was sent to the farmers' accounts on 19 November 2025.
Which farmers will get the benefit?
The benefit of this scheme will be given to those small and marginal farmer families in whose name cultivable land is registered. However, there are some necessary conditions to avail the benefit, like there should be a valid record of the land in the name of the farmer. Also, Aadhar card is mandatory and completion of e-KYC is necessary.
Why is e-KYC necessary?
The government has also made e-KYC mandatory to maintain transparency in the scheme and remove fake beneficiaries. Now, for those farmers whose KYC is not complete, their installment may get stuck or payment may be stopped.
