Jagran correspondent, Chhapra. Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, North Eastern Railway has provided stoppage of two important express trains at Phephna Railway Station.
Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, Ashok Kumar said that the stoppage of train number 15231/15232 Gondia-Barauni-Gondia Express and train number 15083/15084 Chhapra-Farrukhabad-Chhapra Utsarg Express will be started at Phephna station from January 16, 2026.
This facility will be inaugurated on Friday, January 16 by flagging off 15231 Barauni-Gondia Express. He said that on the inauguration occasion, Honorable Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Shri Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu' will be present as the chief guest. Besides, Ballia Lok Sabha MP Sanatan Pandey, Rajya Sabha MP Neeraj Shekhar, Fephna MLA Sangram Singh, Legislative Council member Ravi Shankar Singh and other dignitaries have been invited. According to Ashok Kumar, Barauni-Gondia Express will reach Fephna station at 16:33 and will depart at 16:35 after stopping for two minutes, while Gondia-Barauni Express will depart from 23:41 to 23:43. Will stop.
Similarly, Chhapra-Farrukhabad Utsarg Express will stop at Phephna station from 19:49 to 19:51 hrs and in the return direction, Farrukhabad-Chhapra Utsarg Express will stop at Phephna station from 05:42 to 05:44 hrs. The Public Relations Officer said that with these halts, the passengers of Phephna and surrounding areas will be able to reach Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Barauni, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, Direct travel facility will be available to many major stations including Kanpur, Raipur, Gondia, which will save both time and resources.
