Jagran correspondent, Rishikesh. The Joint Rotation Travel Arrangement Committee, which operates buses in the Chardham Yatra, will not increase the bus fares during the Yatra. Buses registered in the state will run the journey under rotation.
Ten transport companies operate buses under a joint rotation travel arrangement committee during the Yatra. The rotation system was formally formed with unanimous consent on Thursday. On behalf of the committee, Bhaskaranand Bhardwaj, previously associated with Garhwal Motor Owners Union, was elected as the chairman of the committee.
It was decided in the meeting that all the buses registered in Uttarakhand will be operated in Chardham Yatra under rotation system. It was decided by the committee not to increase the fare in any way this year. The fare for Chardham Yatra will remain the same as before. The fare per seat from Haridwar will be Rs 4450 and from Rishikesh it will be Rs 4250. On behalf of Joint Rotation, a lottery is conducted to send the buses on the journey.
Vehicles are sent based on the numbers drawn in the lottery. Joint Rotation Chairman Bhaskaranand Bhardwaj, GMO Chairman Gaje Singh Rauthan, TGMO Chairman Jitendra Singh Negi, Roopkund Chairman Bhupal Singh Negi, former Rotation Chairman Sudhir Rai, Naveen Ramola, Harshvardhan Singh Rawat, Vikram Singh, Krishna Pant, Yashpal Rana, Naresh Goyal, Badri Prasad, Prem Pal Singh, Pyare Lal Juglan, Subhash Dhyani, Bhola Dutt Joshi, Ram were present in the meeting. Singh, Narendra Gusain, Arjun Singh Rawat, Balveer Singh Rawat etc. were present. Ajay Badhani etc. were present to conduct the meeting.
The journey will start in April
This time Chardham Yatra is starting in April. On April 19, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open for devotees. The doors of Kedarnath Dham are opening on 22nd April and Badrinath Dham on 23rd April.
