Sonbhadra's Daughter Murdered In Palamu After 9 Months Of Marriage, Body Burnt In The Forest

Samvad Sutra, Pandu (Palamu). A sensational case of murder of daughter-in-law and burning her body in the forest has come to light in Dala Kala village of Pandu police station area. Police have recovered the bones and other remains of the deceased from the forest. After the incident, the in-laws are said to be absconding.

According to the information, the incident was carried out on Friday. Police had received preliminary information that a woman named Sitara Devi had been murdered and her body was hanged.

Burnt remains of the deceased recovered

As soon as the information was received, the police team led by station in-charge Vigesh Kumar Rai reached the spot and started investigation. During the investigation, with the help of local villagers, the police reached Dala forest, where the burnt remains of the deceased were recovered.

Investigation revealed that after the murder, an attempt was made to destroy evidence by burning the dead body. A search operation was conducted in the forest in the presence of the police magistrate. The station in-charge said that the FSL team has been called to investigate the matter.

Confirmation of murder and burning of dead body

He said that prima facie it has been confirmed that murder was followed by burning of the dead body. The accused in-laws are absconding and raids are being conducted to arrest them. The deceased Sitara Devi was a resident of Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh.

She was married to Mukesh Bhuiyan, a resident of Dala Kala, in May 2025. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident. The police is engaged in a thorough investigation of the entire matter.
