After cleaning the pond in Dariyapur Basti, boundary wall work will now be done here. Awakening

Jagran correspondent, Gohana. The only pond in the city, which has been a victim of neglect for years, in Dariyapur Basti under Ward 10 on Panipat Road, will get a new identity. Under the plan of beautification of the pond, the Municipal Council has started the work of developing it as a picnic spot. After the completion of the work, about six-seven thousand people will not only get a clean and safe environment but will also get a new public entertainment venue.

The pond was in a dilapidated condition for a long time. Due to dirt, bushes and lack of security here, people were hesitant to go near it. There was always a possibility of accidents. On the demand of the people of the ward, the city council started the work by planning the beautification of the pond. A boundary wall will be built around it.

While the boundary wall will increase the security of the pond, it will also prevent illegal encroachment and filth. A footpath will also be built along the pond, on which people can take a walk in the morning and evening. To make the footpath attractive, seating arrangements with greenery will also be made nearby. Apart from this, swings will be installed near the pond for children and families, so that this place can be developed as a family picnic spot.

This area will shine with light

In the evening, the pond and its surrounding area will be illuminated with lights, for which modern lights will also be installed. This will not only increase beautification, but this step will also be important from security point of view. Village Garhi Ujale Khan, Nai Basti and village Garhi Sarai Namdar are also nearby Ward 10.

The ward and surrounding people will directly benefit from this project. While the beautification of the pond will change the identity of the area, children, elderly and youth will get a safe and beautiful place where they can spend time with their families.

The pond has been cleaned and now further work will be done. Rs 46 lakh will be spent to beautify the pond. A target has been set to complete the work in six months.
