Shalini Devrani, South Delhi. The incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh has sparked a debate on the right to clean water. There are many areas in the capital Delhi too, where the problem of contaminated water has persisted for a long time. Dainik Jagran also ran a campaign regarding this and raised this issue becoming the voice of the people.

Now the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) has also started a mass movement on social media regarding the serious problem of contaminated drinking water and sewer overflow that has been pending for a decade. Questions are being asked by tagging news and complaint letters related to problems to the government and related departments.

People, who have been facing neglect from the departments for years, are now busy in intensifying this campaign by sharing the news related to Dainik Jagran's Swachh Sarokar campaign on a wide scale. Along with e-mail and correspondence, a strategy has been made to create pressure through online platforms, so that accountability of the departments and the government is fixed and the public gets relief.

In fact, the population of many loop areas of South Delhi is facing the problem of sewer overflow. Due to sewer blockage, dirty water flows on the roads every day, due to which apart from the bad smell, people are also facing contaminated water supply. People, tired of complaining to the concerned departments and public representatives, have now launched a campaign on the internet media and questions are being raised for solution by tagging the Chief Minister, Lieutenant Governor, District Officer, Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and Municipal Corporation.

Even in Saket, bad conditions have arisen due to sewerage problems in all the blocks. The lines laid five decades ago are not able to bear the burden of the increasing population. They have also written a letter to the Water Board and given suggestions to solve the problem. Sewer and dirty water problems are a serious concern for the health of senior citizens. Tired of constantly complaining, no solution. Now a campaign has been launched on social media regarding this.
