The pace at which the country's big cities Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi have progressed in the last 10 years is due to the major contribution of the talented youth of small towns and villages. This is the reason why now when the cost of living and complexities of life are increasing in metros, the new model of development is turning towards small cities. Solan of Himachal is emerging as a strong example of this change.
Anuj Kothari, founder of Tunica Technology startup company, says that his father has moved forward from a small village about 50 kilometers away from Udaipur, Rajasthan. This personal experience became the foundation of his thinking. Talent is not dependent on any city, all it needs is the right opportunity and environment.
We appointed eight youth in the first week of this month. Of these, five students are from UIT, Shimla and three are from Career Point University, Hamirpur. Nikhil Sharma, Prityanshu Dadhwalia, Anurag Thakur, Aryan Sharma and Kavya Kangu from Hamirpur, Harshita Chauhan from Nahan, Hrithik Sharma from Una and Aryan Sharma from Shimla have been added to the company.
With this in mind, Tunica Company chose Solan as an experiment. The objective was to prove that high-skilled industries like technology are not limited to metros only. In the recent past, this experiment has been more successful than expected. Participation of local youth, less migration and better work-life balance strengthened this model. Every year, teams of youth from the state are joining us. 35 employees work at the company's head office in Solan.
Anuj Chandra Kumar Kothari, founder of Tunica Company, said that in three years a strong technology company of 100 people will be created from Solan. The local economy will benefit from this. Employment opportunities will increase, skill development will take place and youth will get a platform to make a career. Every engineer associated with the company takes future-oriented decisions at any given time and we all get involved in implementing them.
