Which has also increased the problems of the people. At the same time, on Wednesday, the day temperature in Haldwani and surrounding areas was recorded at 15.2 degrees Celsius. According to weather related records, the mercury on December 17 was the lowest in 15 years.

This is because between 2011 and 2025, the maximum mercury was 15.5 degrees only once in 2019. In such a situation, Wednesday was the coldest day compared to previous years. Difficulty in passing vehicles

Dense fog covered Haldwani and surrounding areas on Wednesday morning. Due to low visibility, vehicles faced difficulty in passing. However, light sunshine was seen in the afternoon. But due to lack of heat, there was no special relief. In the evening the entire area was again covered with a blanket of fog.

The effect of fog may last till December 20

The effect of fog is likely to persist in the plains of Kumaon division till December 20. The Meteorological Center has issued a forecast regarding this. At the same time, due to fog, increase in cold may also be seen. Also, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the hilly areas on 20th and 21st December.
