This Village Of Bastar Was Once A Stronghold Of Maoists, Now Mobile Network Reached For The First Time After Independence

Mobile network reached Kondapalli village for the first time.

Digital Desk, New Delhi. When large parts of the country are talking about 5G network, a celebratory atmosphere prevailed in a village in Bijapur district of ultra-sensitive Bastar of Chhattisgarh just after the arrival of 4G network.

As soon as the mobile network reached Kondapalli village located on the border of Telangana and Chhattisgarh for the first time, the villagers danced with joy to the beats of Mandar. The villagers here, victims of Maoist violence for decades, have been deprived of basic facilities like roads, electricity and drinking water.

The activation of the mobile tower was like being directly connected to the world.

As soon as officials announced that the tower had started functioning, there was a wave of celebration in the village. Women, men and children all gathered together and reached the tower site in the form of a rally. There, the tower was worshiped in the traditional manner and then the villagers danced emotionally to the beats of Manjar (local musical instrument).

Security forces personnel also joined their celebration and distributed sweets. This scene shows that this facility is not just a technology for them, but is their first real connection to the outside world.

A total of 728 new towers were installed in the area

After the fear of Maoist violence has been removed, the youth here are also ready to step into the world of internet. In the last two years, huge success has been achieved in strengthening the communication infrastructure. A total of 728 new towers have been installed in the area. Of which 467 have been installed specifically for 4-G networks. Also, 449 towers have been upgraded from 2G to 4G.

Niyad Nella Naar scheme changed the picture

In the state, under the government of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the fight against Maoists with both guns and development is going on in Bastar. To fight for development, SAI government had launched Niyad Nella Naar Scheme (Your Best Village). Due to this, winds of development have started blowing in hundreds of villages of Bastar. This success of Kondapalli is also the result of “Niyad Nella Naar” scheme.
