Pithoragarh. In Munsiyari area late night, a vehicle and the passenger in it got stuck on the road and were rescued safely by the Munsiyari police station by taking prompt action. The incident occurred around 12 o'clock on Thursday night, when the police received information through dial 112 that a Haryana state vehicle going from Munsiyari towards Nachni was stuck on the roadside and the person traveling in it was demanding help.
As soon as the information was received, the police team of Munsiyari police station immediately left for the spot. Under the leadership of Police Station Head Anil Arya, police personnel reached the spot and started relief work. The police made careful efforts and took the vehicle to a safe place and safely pulled out Pankaj Sharma, a resident of Haryana, who was traveling in the vehicle.
Despite the cold at night and the inaccessible mountain road, any possible accident was averted due to the promptness of the police. The passenger expressed gratitude for the help of the police.
Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav said that the police is fully alert for quick assistance in case of any emergency in the border and hilly areas of the district. Safety of the general public is the top priority and relief and assistance work will continue even in difficult circumstances.
