Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. UP Ka Mausam: The weather is changing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. Fog has been wreaking havoc in all three areas in the past few days. Due to the influence of the tropical western jet stream passing through North India in the upper troposphere, such a dense fog formed that the entire Purvanchal including Kashi got covered in it.
As a result, the day's maximum temperature went down by about 10 degrees Celsius and Banaras became the coldest city in the state. Banaras remained colder than Shimla, Shillong, Manali and came in the category of 10th coldest city in the country.
